| Q. | Can The Loopy Ewe send my order directly to my secret pal without telling them who paid for it? |
| A. | Yes! Right after you place your order and receive your order number, just be sure to add a note to that order and we'll keep the secret! |
| Q. | I don't live in the United States; can I still order from The Loopy Ewe? |
| A. | Yes! We would love to ship your order to you across the oceans. For our current list of known shipping destinations/costs, please refer to our Shipping Policies page. If you don't find yourself on there, please contact us so we can work out the details. |
| Q. | I live in a different country. Can you mark my package as a "gift" so that I don't have to pay any additional fees on it? Or can you put a maximum value of $49 on my customs label so that I don't have to pay any additional fees? |
| A. | We'd love to be able to do that. However, we could get our business in a lot of trouble by claiming that on purchased items, if we were to get caught. We need to play by the rules. But we agree - additional fees are a bummer and we don't like them either. |
| Q. | I saw an item on the store earlier, but it's no longer there; where did it go? |
| A. | It most likely means we're currently sold out of the product (we only list products that we currently have in stock on our website). If you'd like, you may call or email us to be contacted when we have restocked the item. |
| Q. | I keep hearing about "Sneak Ups" - what is that? |
| A. | Sneak Ups are done almost every week. It's when we "sneak" up a bunch of new yarns on the website, for everyone to find. We used to announce the time and day that we'd be adding new things to the shop, and it always caused a massive overload of shoppers on the website at once. So now we don't tell people when the new stuff is going up - we just 'sneak' it up. We will usually mention in the blog what yarns/lines will be added in that week and/or the next, so if you're watching for something in particular, you know it will be up soon. Many Sneak Ups occur late at night, but just so people don't start planning on anything, we do vary the day and time from week to week. When you visit The Loopy Ewe, click on the "See What's New" link in blue, and you'll quickly see what has been added since the last time you visited, and whether or not a "Sneak Up" has occurred. |
| Q. | I just had something stolen from my Shopping Cart! Why do you let this happen? |
| A. | If we could...we'd love to have unlimited stock of everything we carry! But, like most other shops, we let you put a number of items in your cart and hold them there indefinitely until you're ready to check out. However, we can't allow all of our inventory to be in limbo while everybody's perusing the store with items in their cart. So, upon completing the checkout process, we reserve the items in your cart and remove them from the website. If it's the last one, people who were also thinking about the item will be notified it's no longer available. |
| Q. | My shopping cart is telling me that one of my items is popular right now. What does it mean? |
| A. | Usually this will show up during a sneak up when several people have the item in their cart. If the item is in more people's carts than we have in stock...we'll show you this warning to let you know it may jump out of your cart as others check out. |
| Q. | I'd like to add your blog button to my own website or blog. How do I do that? |
| A. | We'd love to have you add The Loopy Ewe button to your site. We have some quick and easy directions for you. |
| Q. | Do you send unsolicited email messages? |
| A. | No! We use your email address as part of your login and will only use it if we need to contact you or you have requested certain email notifications. You may manage your email notification preferences from your Account page. |
| Q. | What forms of payment do you accept? |
| A. | We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) as well as payment from your Paypal account, or personal checks. (Note that when paying by check, we will ship your order as soon as your check has been received and processed.) |
| Q. | How quickly can I expect my order to arrive? |
| A. | We ship most orders within 24 hours, by priority mail. We know you want it quickly! |
| Q. | I'm just ordering patterns. Must I still pay $5.95 for shipping? |
| A. | When possible, we ship lighter orders (patterns, StitchKeepers, etc) in envelopes and will adjust your shipping rate down to the actual cost. In most cases it ends up being just $1 - 2. When you get notice that your order has shipped, you can go into your Loopy Ewe account and click on that order to see what the shipping ended up being. |
| Q. | I'm going to be in the St. Louis area on vacation. Do you have a storefront? |
| A. | We do most of our business online, but we have a great Loopy Ewe shop set up and would love to share it with you! Simply email or call ahead of time and we'll set up a convenient time and day for you to come by. We have open for shopping times on Thursdays and Fridays and by appointment. Just give us a call to confirm a time. |
| Q. | I registered my blog and it shows new accounts, but why haven't I received any credit? |
| A. | We list for you the number of Clicks your blog links have brought to The Loopy Ewe, along with how many people followed up with creating a new Account. Once they order (whether the same day or in six months), we'll take note and your account will soon be credited. |
| Q. | I'd like a sock yarn (or color) that you do not stock. Can you get it for me? |
| A. | Email us and we'll check on that for you. We're always happy to special order, any time it's possible. |
| Q. | I don't have enough time in my day to knit many socks. Will you knit them for me? |
| A. | No, but we can send you chocolate kisses to make you feel better about that. (Seriously - it's a trick question. We just wanted to see if you would actually read to the end of the list of questions - and you did! Good for you!) |
