2012 First Quarter Challenge

The first quarter challenge is to knit a project with yarn that contains some silk in it. (See this blog post for details: http://www.theloopyewe.com/sheri/2011/12/herman-the-name-made-all-the-difference) Silk adds that little bit of extra to a project - extra warmth, extra sheen, extra glam!

2012 Fourth Quarter Challenge

This quarter's challenge is to knit a 400+ yard project with two strands of yarn held together. Projects (and completed photos) are due 12/31/12!

2012 Second Quarter Challenge

The Challenge this quarter was to knit an adult sweater, vest or socks with a yarn that contained cotton. Perfect for warmer weather!

2013 First Quarter Challenge

This quarter our challenge was to knit a one-skein project that had cables somewhere in the pattern!

2013 Fourth Quarter Challenge

The Project: pick a worsted weight or bulky weight project to knit or crochet.

The Yardage: minimum of 250 yards in a single project (Not a set of something that adds up to 250 yards.)

The Dates: you can start knitting as soon as you have your yarn, but you must be finished with a complete picture uploaded by 12/15.

2013 Second Quarter Challenge

Our challenge this quarter was to use two colors of yarn, 500 yards total or less. Your pattern needs to mix the colors with stranded work (so just doing solid stripes doesn’t count).

Camp Loopy 2012 Project One

For our first month of Camp (5/27-6/27), we are knitting projects that have a minimum of 400 yards and choosing patterns from a designer that was born in (or lives in) a country other than our own!

Camp Loopy 2012 Project Three

For our third month of Camp (7/27-8/27), we are knitting projects that have a minimum of 500 yards that includes two colors, and is a pattern that we've not knit before.

This month, the project needed to use a color from your the flag of your country, and it needed to be at least 800 yards, single worked.

Camp Loopy 2013 Project One

Project One: needs to be knit or crocheted between 6/1 and 6/30 (with a photo of the completed project uploaded to our Project One Photo Gallery by 7/1).

The Challenge for Project One – A one-skein project, using a fingering or laceweight yarn that you have not used before. Your project must use at least 375 yards of the skein.

Camp Loopy 2013 Project Three

The Challenge for Project Three – The project needs to use at least 800 yards, single stranded, knit between 8/1 and 8/31, with a photo of the completed project uploaded to our Loopy Ewe Project Three Photo Gallery by 9/1.

This challenge is to knit a pattern that has been popular with other knitters, that you haven’t knit before. The project needs to have at least 1000 projects listed (or 1000 queued up) on Ravelry, and it needs to use at least 500 yards, single stranded.

Dream in Color Baby KAL

Our second Knit-A-Long challenge was to knit something out of Dream in Color's wonderful Laceweight yarn called Baby!
