1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces 4 oz. (1 cup) shredded Swiss cheese 1 cup cashews 1/4 c. sweetened dried cranberries 1 apple, cubed 1 pear, cubed Poppy Seed Dressing

Chop the apple and pear and put them in a bowl of white soda (do you call it pop?) while you’re doing the rest of the salad. This will keep them from turning brown in your salad. Drain and add to all other ingredients. Toss with Poppy Seed Dressing.

I must say that I never measure the stuff. I just add all of the ingredients in the amounts that we like. (I add more apples and pears, and more cranberries. Not more cashews, because I have eaten a handful of them while preparing the recipe and by that point there are no extras to add to the salad.)
