1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces 4 oz. (1 cup) shredded Swiss cheese 1 cup cashews 1/4 c. sweetened dried cranberries 1 apple, cubed 1 pear, cubed Poppy Seed Dressing
Chop the apple and pear and put them in a bowl of white soda (do you call it pop?) while youâ€™re doing the rest of the salad. This will keep them from turning brown in your salad. Drain and add to all other ingredients. Toss with Poppy Seed Dressing.
I must say that I never measure the stuff. I just add all of the ingredients in the amounts that we like. (I add more apples and pears, and more cranberries. Not more cashews, because I have eaten a handful of them while preparing the recipe and by that point there are no extras to add to the salad.)
