I used a basic sweater pattern with 102 stitches both front and back and a graduated sleeve starting with 40 stitches and ending with 80 stitches. I picked up 80 stitches for the neck and followed with the ridge work which shows between the moss stitch sections. In hindsight I wished I had done the body as one unit up to the armhole shaping. I used a varation of the Staithes Pattern of Guernseys and adapted it to a worsted weight yarn. I bought 1540 yards and used approximately 1475 yards total.
