We, too, enjoy a mother-daughter relationship like Loralie and Rorie. In past years, I have had to tape the show each week and we watch it on the weekends when my daughter comes home from college. Now that she's married (just this summer) I don't know how often she'll be home. But I already have strict orders to tape it each week anyway. Then when she does get back home, we can have a Gilmore Girls marathon. Of course, I'll be knitting during it all. Glad you enjoy the show as well! I would highly recommend it--I always enjoyed the screened-in porch with an novel ("Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers), Damien Rice, and a thunder storm.
