Hey Sheri, Hi Neighbor
I found your blog through the comments on Lynne's blog, and started reading. I almost gave you a call, then realized how early it was, so I figured I will call later in the day.
I'm a life long knitter too, just not a sock knitter, until a week ago when I found myself in Columbia while dh was riding in the MS 150, and I decided on a whim to take a toe-up sock class from Bex at Carol Leigh's Fiber Studio yarn shop. Now I have a sock to finish.
and we are in somwhat the same position. My eldest graduated college last May, my youngest son will graduate next May, we've got my step-daughter away at Georgia, and my youngest stepdaughter lives with us full time as she is a senior in HS. She goes to Lafayette.
So, can you take a bit of knitting time out of your busy to-do-list day? Want to meet for coffee somewhere? Barnes and Noble on Clarkson? Kadlis in the Valley? Borders over on Manchester? or are you on the other side of the River?

HATE when my computer goes all wonky on me!!! But with cell phones........ get one of those thingys that plugs into the outlet (used to be called a cigarette lighter! LOL) in your car and .............. WAHLA! instant energy for the phone! Now, if you're jogging in the park or shopping it won't help much. I'm going to drool all over the yarn in your store now.

Hey there Sheri! Thanks for stopping by, us loopy girls must stick together! What's funny is that I had just heard the latest Lime 'n Violet podcast where they talked about you (obviously your name made me extra interested ;-) and even checked out your shop. Now I am even more excited to make an order. Keep up the good work!

I love your blog and store! I just got sucked in reading about your son going to college and your Gilmore Girl viewing. I actually watch that show with my son and we love it. I am trying to not buy sock yarn right now and your store is NOT helping. I love the yarns you are carrying. As soon as I can, I WILL be buying from you. Thanks!

Well, I'm a software engineer, and I tell you what, I HATE computers! The reason they misbehave when you most need them to work is BECAUSE THEY CAN! Mac people (especially my sister) will tell you they don't have "those kinds of problems". By the time I get home from work I want nothing to do with computers except to check my email. And I really don't want to hear, "MOOOOOOMMMM, why isn't the computer working????". I just got home, how should I know!?!? My response? "Wait until I finish this row." Yep, knitting is therapy for many problems.

O'Hear hear! I am so with you on the COMPUTER binge.....drives me NUTS. Mostly because I still don't know enough about 'how they work', who in the dickens came up with 'their' language, anyway. Give me a break!!! Sorry, I get terribly frustrated, I have found on working in HTML.....I look for 'patterns', I can do that.....sometimes, it actually works. Yesterday, while checking around on some of my favourite blogs I noted that 2 of them hadn't changed....in many days....now these women are Writers....(Jo and Ms Knitingale) for some reason I had the proverbial lightbulb flash on and went...Hey! 'refresh'? Did the trick...on both sites,,,,why oh why SHOULD I have to do that?
Of course your friend liked her new bag, it's beautiful! Fabulous colours!
