My sister made a very delicious pumpkin ooey gooey butter cake for Thanksgiving. She got the recipe from "Paula's Homecooking". I always thought it was just a Southern thing until I read this entry! Well anyway, I'll tell her about this recipe since Paula's uses canned pumpkin and a box of cake mix.

I want to go to Isobel's house next year for Thanksgiving. Yum!

I finished a sock in Cherry Tree Hill 'Fall Foliage' this weekend. It is the first in the pair for my mom this Christmas. It is purty. She really likes it but thinks it is too big for my own foot (had to lie since I was knitting it right in front of her). Ah, the joy of white lies during the holidays.

Sure would like to see that cake giggle. (Also a fan of Trader Joes). :>)

Sherri, I did your Winter Fruit Salad for Thanksgiving and it was a major hit. One of my guests said it was the best part of the whole meal (she had made everything else but the turkey and the salad so I wasn't offended!!!). Anyway, that will be a great stand-by for us now, and I plan to make it again tomorrow!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I did get a little knitting done. My Scottish parents came for Thanksgiving, they love it - my father says it's the only holiday built around food. We had turkey and ham, two kinds of potatoes and stuffing, creamed spinich, brussel sprouts, cornbread, cranberry sauce and pear apple sauce, plus two kinds of pie. My mother and I hit the mall this morning. She was a little over whelmed, to say the least. My new yarn was waiting in the mailbox for me when we returned, lots of oowing and ahhing from my mum as to feel and colour. My father and husband think we are certifiable. Hope everyone had a good day, off to finish my 9th tiny sock for my secret santa garland.
Hope that everyone had a wonderful day and that you all get to put your feet up at some point during the weekend.
