Whew!!! Good Lord! I am happy sock yarns don't count as well. I am thinking of joining the Knit From Your Stash group as well....but am not sure if I want to admit I have a problem just yet. ;0) At least not until I have hit all these December inventory sales around here. (evil laugh inserted here) My Celtic Swan needles are fabulous, by the way. I have socks on them already. Thanks so much for the extra trouble!!! Happy New Year!

Oh heavens, I would never in a million years ever consider just knitting from my stash. It's so much fun to buy new yarn, and there are so many beautiful yarns out there that I haven't tried yet and can't wait to try them. To me, 1/2 the fun of knitting is buying new georgous, soft, colorful yarns. Heee, I love having a pretty and colorful stash.

haha, I definitely saw the knitting smores ornament at the store yesterday afternoon and told my mother that it reminded me of something you would appreciate. oh, and i hear that the sniffing thing is a piece of knowledge to which only the truly caffeinated, *excuse me* "sophisticated" are privy. ;)

I finished my Christmas shawl yesterday, YEAH! Unfortunately it smells like the bowling alley because that's where I was when I finished it. Heh, heh... That'll come out when I wash and block it.

Still have a hat and a possible scarf to go. (Recipient said she was "okay" with the color; maybe I'll just buy something instead. =P)

Love the button!

Cool trick about the Starbucks coffee bags. Who knew!

No point in pretending I will only knit from my stash in 2007. I know good and well I will buy plenty of yarn no matter what, sock yarn or otherwise. Hehe. However the ideas are always good. Mom says I will not use my yarn before I die which is SO not true (unless I die pretty soon God forbid). She wants to measure the time. I said she has to measure a turnover rate cause the yarn buffet is never ending. :>)

2 holiday socks to go but I did squeeze in a pair of sweet little fingerless gloves this weekend. (From Knittys Summer 2006 issue.) Way easy and fast knitting. They are a stocking gift for mom so it counts as gift knitting I guess.

No worries - I will be fully support the yarn industry in 2007. I will be knitting from my stash too - once I buy it, it gets home, it touches the other yarn I have, it IS my stash. No yarn diet for me as I stated in my most recent blog post - this is what I believe we should be doing!!! Happy Holidays!
