J-Knits is a heavenly yarn to work with, but I’m jazzed about seeing the other new indies. Heh… like I need any more yarn. I promised DH no more for a while (he is buying me a rather extravagent gift for this past Christmas – let me just say its built low to the ground and shreds the pavement), but I may to sneak in a small order. I took a look at my sock stash. I easily have enough yarn to knit 300 pairs of socks. No lie. Good thing I have a large container to keep them in. It’s called a house.

well, i’m not sure when you blog and don’t, but i find myself coming here more and more. must be you are an addictive, to me, like sock knitting is too. i think the lace knitting is beautiful but i’m thankful it isn’t calling me to do it. i have to work monday but will be here asap to order some panda cotton. oh, please save me some. ( : your weekend plans sound so nice. enjoy your movies and knitting with your daughter.

Oh Sheri…..you are going to LOVE knitting lace. I am working on my first shawl right now and I sooooooo love it!!!! I read anne hanson’s knitspot blog and got some great patterns. I am working on her Casino Shawl right now. There are some tricks to knitting lace that I learned; ie: don’t watch a super intense scary movie while you’re doing it, and also, use markers at first to separate the different motifs. That way if you screw up on one, it won’t make the whole row offset. You will know right off that bat that you goofed and not have to un-knit the whole row. They’re kind of like ‘training wheels.’ Well, I should be getting my package today from Loopy!!!!!!! Yahooo for me!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed your movie and knitting time with your daughter. All that new yarn that is coming on Monday sounds tempting (I’ve not tried J-Knits yet)…just may have to try some of it out…
