Ooh, Sheri, one other thing...

I love what College Guy has done with the website. All the new features are great! But I was wondering, where's the little "insufficient quantities" notice that pops up when you try to add yarn to your basket that isn't in stock in those quantities? Has it gone away or is there a glitch? Also, does the site still tell you when things that you have in your shopping cart have gone out of stock before you've checked out? Cos I loved those features! Just checking!

Thanks!

My aunt (my Dad's sister) used to really like and respect ladies who could knit or crochet or quilt, etc, well. Actually, a good amount of her opinion of people was based on whether or not they could do those things! Fortunately, I could knit & crochet well back then, but I had not yet learned to quilt back then. She was a wonderful cook! She made the best fried chicken, best creamed fresh peas, and mashed potatoes & gravy, etc, that I have ever had. I always loved to eat at her house. She did have one secret, though--the chickens were fresh from her hen house, the peas were fresh from her garden on her farm, etc. :-) Come to think of it, I don't remember ever seeingg any needlework that she might have done. I don't think she had time for needlework, when she was working on the farm, tending her garden, and doing all of her church board meeting stuff, etc, which made her appreciate the needlework of others all the more!

Ok, now I'm making myself hungry. I think I need to go to our local farm market here on Wednesday (it's only open on Wed & Sat mornings). I won't find totally fresh chickens there, but I might find fresh peas and fresh strawberries, etc! And, Sheri, my aunt lived in NW Iowa (where the rest of our relatives lived).

I have a pair of fingerless gloves to send you! Would you please tell me your address? I recycled my last loopy ewe box so don't have a return label to read it off of. Thanks! :)

Rows per mile...I LOVE that guage (pun intended!). I got a little loopy card with my last order and can't wait to show Loopy around Maine. We'll get to the ocean for sure (I'm there every night with my dogs) and one in front of Bush's compound (we'll see how close we can get before the Secret Service heads out to intercept(...ooooh better get this done before Putin comes!) and who knows what else we'll get into ... maybe a lobster boat?

I love taking my knitting on vacation with me and we're off to Moosehead Lake for a week in july. The only hard part is how to decide WHAT to bring...what will I feel like knitting???

Chocolate Espresso Shortbread...sounds right up my alley! Now if I can just get out of this ER long enough to bake...I've had a LOT of very busy shifts in the last week. Actually, I'm in the ER now, but for some odd reason it's very s..l..o..w...so what am I doing??? Surfing the Loopy Blog, and knitting! My Panda socks are coming right along...just about ready to start gussetting!

What's this about the exit from 270 being closed? James and I are going to visit tomorrow...so tell me the scoop on how to get there! I have another hat done, and one still in the works which I will try to finish before I disappear on vacation! Taking lots of sock projects with me (it's a long drive...about 13 hours). Why is it I tend to see time in terms of "rows per mile"??

See you tomorrow!

Sheri,

What is the beautiful blue yarn you received in your care package? I must have some! Any hints on what the next Loopi Challenge is going to be? It's too late for me to join this one so I would like to get prepared for the next one.
