Thanx for the new scone recipe, baking is one of the few cooking expericments i venture...but query for the expert tip, should we then try cutting in --cold--butter for this, or stick to 'melted'?

Great to see the overwhelming knitted love, my neighborhood 'knitting for peace' group just sent in a big box to the Dulaan project, and we'll need to choose a new reason to knit (ha ha) soon...

happy knitting, cori in KS

Wooo hooooo for the Q2! And I'm excited for the Q3...I really and totally and truly have my first proper lace project all poised and ready and I wasn't sure when to start it...I think the Q3 is just the push I need to give it a go! :)

Furthermore, I have a Very Tough Design Challenge of my own (i.e. I agreed to design something I've never designed before, and while I'm confident I can do it...it will not be easy) which I may apply to the Q3 as well. :)

Question, could one make Scottish Oat Scones without sugar? Would it taste awful? I'm trying to find a good recipe for oaty bake things that doesn't use sugar as I'm barred for health reasons. *sigh*

Hmm, I'm a little sad ~ I didn't get to mail you my knitted things. They are still here w/me waiting to be mailed out. I would love to still mail them but will need an address either to you or to the contact in China. ;D I think my email may have been lost in cyberspace but its ok, I won't stay sad long not after looking at all those lovely things that you wonderful people made for those less fortune than ourselves.

I'm considering Q3 ~ I've got to think long and hard to pick one of the many items I've been wanting to make. Thx for such fun and opportunity to give. Have an awesome week.

I am definitely up for the Q3 challenge. Why? Because I finished my very first (okay, first since a disastrous attempt over 10 years ago...) pair of socks this past weekend. My friends were impressed and amazed (non-knitters are easily amused). I started a second pair with a picot edge that almost pushed me over the edge so I'm part-way there for the challenge. I love that Monkey pattern...I tend to leap with both feet so why not?! Bring it on! =)

I was so glad I could contribute to keeping little noggins warm this winter. And I think I may stretch myself with a Cookie A pattern and some Chewy Spaghetti!

I too am going to do Potomatus and knit up some more socks for DH 16eeee feet in the Monkey pattern but I will lovingly call them Gorilla and perhaps toe ups(never done) in the BEN colorway at last for my Ben.
My order came with the Panda Cotton Chocolate Almonds(GORGEOUS)Claudia Hand Painted Sea Dreams(so beautiful)Dream In Color November Muse(warm and smooshy)CTH Misty Moor(so fallish) Just when I think I couldn't find any other yarn I need, you show me I do.
So my challenge to me is to make the socks mentioned above from yarn I already have. Won't make a dent, but it is a start.
Can't wait for this week's sneak up, may be a browse only but I doubt it :)
