My husband and I visit our daughter and son-in-law in Minneapolis and during every visit we have to stop at this fantastic cheese and wine store. Those who live there will know the place I'm talking about. Anyway the wine choices are wonderful and we always get a little too enthusiastic about all these great wines that we just know we'd never find back in Iowa. So we buy some bottles, get home and see the multitude of bottles that are in the cupboard yet to be used. Obviously we don't drink it very often. With our 1-2 drink per month track record, we'll never get through it. But I'll probably still keep buying bottles of wine in Minneapolis. Cheers! This has resulted in a large stock of broth and then various cream of chicken soups - low fat, low salt, with herbs, etc. The other thing is can of beans - lots of varietys of seasoned and plain black beans and then every other kind of canned bean available - garbanzos, butter, light and dark kidney, cannelini, navy, pinto . . .
