The Elf-Cam
Do you wonder what The Loopy Elves do when no one is watching? Here’s some photo-evidence:
They ask “Who wants to go to California?” “Who wants to go to New York?” “Who wants to go to the UK?” whenever an order comes in for a Little Loopy. And then they wait and see which one raises their hand. (See photo.)
They wrap up the special edition yarn for the “Don’t Be Blue” sock kits (which will be offered in April to those who tried and didn’t get into the sock club.)
They eat bags and bags of M&M’s, plain and peanut. There are lids to these jars but I don’t know why. They’re really not necessary.
They play with the little toys that come in their Happy Meal and then leave them on the counter for others to find.
The make lots and lots of little red balls for Loopy’s Red Sock Kit. And then they make some more.
They toast their bagels in the red toaster that they requested for the Loopy Central kitchenette.
Oh, ok. They also unpack the cartons of yarn that come in each day, and get your orders out as well. Because despite all of their silliness, they really are good.

I totally forgot to adopt a Little Loopy with my order today. How could I have forgotten?? Those elves were hard workers, though, FPS my order was posted in under 3 hours! Now if the USPS could kick it up a notch….
Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!

Looks like the Elves have fun at work and that’s the way it should be in order for them to be efficient and having experienced their pulling/wrapping/packing/shipping magic over the last few months they deserve all the fun they can have. Thanks Elves for all your hard work and great service. Wishing you lots of M&Ms both plain and peanut…..

First of all, I’m still extremely proud to be a “little Loopy” owner….it’s one of my favorites and sits right on my bedside table
Secondly, I hope you’re having a wonderful vacation in Colorado…sounds like it’s been REAL cold, but that the fam is having a good time
Have a wonderful rest of your week and thank you for the comment about having lids on candy jars…what IS the point?
Angela said,

Do you elves actually get PAID to do all that fun stuff? I want your job! I recently left Colorado, and sorely miss living there. I hope you experience tons of joy on your vacation there.

Hi and thanks for sharing – I wasn’t expecting a post so soon, but it was a nice little surprise! I can see the elves have lots of fun in addition to all the hard work they do. And, I’m just loving all the “red” stuff – but then red is my favorite color. So glad you are enjoying your time in the mountains… : )

And yes, they do get the orders out! I think it must be the M&M’s that fuel that efficiency. Got my first post-Lent order yesterday and it made me VERY happy! Now, if only I could remember the pattern I saw that essentially required two hanks of sock yarn to make…. **digging through books and magazines**
Did I mention? The Elves rock!!

Thanks for an update elves!! It gets kinda quiet when Sheri is on vacation and I’m so in the habit of checking this blog every week. Those are a LOT of boxes of yarn to unpack! I’m sure you NEED the happy meals and the M&Ms to keep your strength up (where’s the Loopy red, elf-providing espresso machine??)

The Elves were also busy helping me with a color selection. They are now color experts. I was asking if DC Lunar Zazzle was very bright or would you call it a baby blue I was told “it is a pretty blue.’ Well after that I had to order it. Now my new favorite blue is pretty blue.

Being a Loopy Elf sounds like a job I would enjoy very much! What a great place to work. If I were a Loopy Elf, I can hear it now … “Loopy Lou, you need to stop petting and admiring that yarn, and pack it up for the customer!” “Loopy Lou, stop shoping!!!!!!! You need to UNPACK that box of yarn before you can buy it!! Save some for the customers.” Hee-hee! So, I’d probably get fired.

The Loopy Elves photopics where a fun pick-me-up on a day that started with about two more inches of snow. (It’s spring…stop snowing!) Love the red toaster, love the red yarn balls, love the idea that lids on jars of m&ms is entirely optional. Love that the elves to such a great job and seem to have lot of fun doing it.
