Hi Sheri! The first thing I thought when I saw that F&F scarf was "Noro Silk Garden Lite!" Mmm.... delish. I didn't even know you had posted the sneak-up stuff and I felt like I was sneaking in the back door when I stopped at TLE to get some SOAK and came out with PTK Cashmere blend sock yarn and a cart full of other stuff. How did I get so lucky?! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mothers Day! XOXOX

Hello to all...I am hesitating because even tho Sheri, said Joanne in PA...there might be another Joanne that won the random selection...but if it really is me...WOW! I am speechless_____________and that's incredibly hard for me to do. OH,MY,GOD!!!!!! I am totally thrilled and delighted. I finally have a skein of Wollmeise! Every darn time I try for one, I am never quick enough. THANK YOU, really Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I love that feather and fan scarf pattern. I made one out of some cashmere/angora yarn with another thread of mohair. I finished it, but I am not one that likes to block, so it is sitting in a basket. Ladies, please don't be put off by lace knitting. It is easy...really. It de-stresses me, and if I had more time...the way it is, I have too many projects going.....and right now, I HAVE to finish a baby afghan by May 29....did three afghans in 2 months for teachers at school that are having babies. I did a no brainer pattern of baby blocks. Pretty, and I don't have to think about it, just do. We all get tog, and give them a mini-baby shower...then I always have to have a sock going....such is life. I walk around with a bag of yarn attached to my hip! Thanks again. Blessings to all and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I love your scarves! What yarn weight is your Wollmeise? Is that sock weight? My sneakup package just came, and I love it! :-)

I always figure that lace knitting doesn't take any more or less time than any other knitting (for me anyway), but each row just takes up less space. I'm working on Convertible and I just calculated that there will be over 43,000 stitches in the completed piece. A long sweater or one with a finer yarn will have more stitches most likely, while a worsted weight standard length sweater is probably about the same. It's just easier to see progress with the worsted weights.

Of course, I might also be insane. That's what happens when I've only had one cup of coffee!

Hey Sheri: The Noro scarf is beautiful. Must buy some Noro sock yarn!!! I got some of the Creatively Dyed roving too. Mine is the Evening Breeze color and I got it today. I can't wait to start spinning it. Must finish the other half of the Dazzling Duets roving first. It is really nice if you haven't tried it. I posted about it on my blog if you want to check it out.

Hi Sheri, just love the scarf, it is totally beautiful and I'm totally sure Claudia will love it. How kind of you. Love the feather and fan scarf too. Glad to see you are buying so much yarn. It is a disease, isn't it? Oh but so much fun. Great sneak up this week. I certainly indulged my self. Hugs. Mickie

I'm with you on lace taking FOREVER. I'm trying to knit a scarf out of seasilk and am failing miserably. It has stalled at 13 inches. It is reminding me why I stick to socks. :)

Well, the computer fairies were good to me today, but they already delted the
pictures. What a mystery? I also wanted to tell you how pretty Claudia's scarf is.
I know she will love it. You did a good job and the colors are beautiful.

I am a happy woman today. I got to see all your pictures. Hooray. I love your
feather and fan scarf in the Noro colorway. I seem to like bright colors as I get
old (older). I'm glad you are scarfing down your chocolate. I have had to put a
limit on mine, but still eating it. Making a cute little purse for my granddaughter
who is only 14, but she only likes neutrals, blacks, browns, kahki, and grays. Am
having a hard time knitting on it because there is such a lack of color, especially
for a young girl. She's a beautiful young girl and I wish her mother and I could talk
her into putting some color in her life. She's so good that I guess we shouldn't
complain. Maybe someday I will get to try some of your new sock yarns.
