I grew up in Florida and I must say…going to Florida in July seems mighty brave! Around July 4, my Dad used to suggest we try to fry an egg on the sidewalk to check whether it was hot enough outside yet Glad you found some evening breezes, and had a nice visit with your son.

It would be nice if you would post the quickest way to determine if the Wollmeise yarn is available on your website. There will be lots of knitters stalking your website. The last time you had it for sale, I thought I was properly checking, but obviously not because I was left with O…:-)

Would you consider this??? Might knitters who have tried and tried to get the yarn with less frustration.

Welcome home, Sheri! So glad to hear you had a great time with Knitting Daughter and Web Guy. It sounds like you enjoyed the time in Florida and enjoyed the cool breeze off the ocean in the evening. (We’ve been having some nice weather here in Michigan lately in the upper 70′s and lower 80′s with a nice breeze., which I am thankful for.)

The scarf you made is beautiful! Glad you were able to get some knitting and reading in and were able to just relax and enjoy your family time together.

I’m SURE you’re a fantastic cook! Just take remember all those yummy recipes you share with all of us!

So glad to hear that you’re back safe and sound and that you had such a good visit, Sheri! I sure understand about being torn between reading and knitting. Reading tends to win out in this kind of weather. The softest, prettiest wool yarn, even in my favorite colors, somehow loses some of its appeal when it’s this hot and humid outside (and we don’t get a cooling breeze at night, either)!

Don’t let those cooking shows intimidate you. What you don’t see is the army of behind-the-scenes workers making it all look so darn easy. Heck, anyone could cook like a pro if they had a pro cutting up their vegetables off camera!

Sheri, I’m glad you had some good family time, and I’m glad you all had a safe trip.

My sis has 2 Italian greyhounds that were rescues, Rudy and Kramer. They are TOO SWEET!

As for retirement, move the biz to the Front Range in CO now and you can play here every weekend and I could come see you! There are lots of spinners, knitters, weavers, and fiber producers here, too.

Am checking out the CTH in just a minute!! Missed you!

And I second Juliblue’s sentiments, about not sneaking the Wollmeise during work hours. It’s so hard to F5 unobtrusively.

So glad you had a great vacation!! How fun!! I wish i could go to other yarn shops and announce I was you (the owner of such another great shop) that would be fun traveling and meeting other people that did the same thing you did, then keeping in touch, seeing how their stuff is similar/different…cool very cool!!
Okay, Sheri, this WHOLE week I couldn’t find ANY substitute teaching jobs, and until you passed word down that no Wollmeise till NEXT week, I was F5ing…PLEASE don’t post while I’m at work!!! I have a wonderful Kindergarten Class that I am subbing for the whole week next week- I’ll be gone from 7-3pm!! I will be so sad if the SU happens while I am at work:( take pity on us substitute teachers….wait until we get home or hit the ‘go’ button before we leave for work:) that is all FPS!!
