I resolve to learn to knit socks and be good at it. I have studied them, have books on socks and don't see any reason why I can't teach myself how to knit them even if I am self taught and don't know a single person who knits! I have very limited resources where I live in Georgia, so I have to depend on the internet and blogs. When I turned my first heel, I woke my husband up to show him. He looked at it with one eye open, said "yea" then went back to sleep. But my two dachshunds, Tink and Rue, rejoiced with me and we all had a bite of chocolate!. Yea for me and my sock heel !!!!! Life is good.

I only have one resolution for this year and that is to use and enjoy my nice things instead of saving them for whatever reason. It's dumb. What if I get run over by a truck next week and haven't used any of my pretties? That would be a waste. So I'm gonna drink the fancy teas, knit with the 'spensive yarns, wash with the handmade soaps, eat off the pretty dishes, wear the nice things, and spin the cashmere.

Have a Happy New Year to Sheri and the Elves and WH and also CG and CB.

Loved your resolutions, gives me the heart to do some to.

1. Knit more for myself. Mine always gets put aside for every gift and become UFOs
2. Get school work done promptly and ahead of time so there is more time for #1.
3. Live healthy (I do hate lima beans) and get back to organic (I have been feeling off key since i wasnt able to.)
4. Keep better contact with those people who really like me.
5. Find a way to save money to buy yarn so i can d #1.
6. Continue gifting little items to those i cherish and love.
7. Actually get my garden in this year!
8. Get electric and watrer etc set up so i can do #7.
9. Have fun every day.
10. Make others day happy. (Something i like t do)

I plan to knit more and snack less :) I also spend too much time on ravelry which causes less knitting time so I need to cut back on that. My stash is outrageous(muffinknits)
Quick question-Will you be carrying Oceanwind Knits again? Not that I NEED more yarn...
Happy New Year!

My new years resolution is knitting related... naturally. I have joined the NaKniSweMoDo 2009 group on Ravelry, and my resolution is to knit 12 sweaters this year. It's quite an undertaking, but so far (since it's only Jan. 2), I am confident about getting them done.

Start enjoying exercise instead of looking at it as an evil necessity. I’m sure that’s possible. Somehow.

Wii Fit. Seriously. I've lost 5 pounds since September using it (I know that doesn't sound like much, but it took me 5 years to gain that weight...) I love it because it's more interactive than an exercise tape, but you can still do it in the privacy of your own living room.

I haven't thought that much about New Year's resolutions yet, but I think I'd like to cook/bake more (Now you see why it's taken me several months to lose 5 pounds ;). I got a stand mixer and a food processor for my birthday/christmas, and I'd hate to see them go unused.

Happy New Year. I'm adding some things inspired by your list to my list. On New Year's Day we make a list of everyone in the family's resolutions and then read them on the 31st. I have some wimpy family members this year who said things like "Stay as I am", "live one day at a time". Nice statements but how do you measure them? Now me, my resolutions are lofty:
1. Lose 30 pounds - joined WW e-tools today,
2. Read 20 books or 200 pages per week.
3. Complete two old knit projects for one new knit project - this will be challenging as I can not bring myself to frog something I have started.
4. Clean and organize the third floor of my house - Get rid of stuff (I am breaking into a cold sweat just thinking about it)
5. Paint son's room, hallway, living room and dining room.
6. Remember to be grateful for a job I love.

Blessings to all.

Happy New Year! I just plan on making this a year to do things I should already be doing. Eating better, exercise, etc. and to quit making excuses and saying "I'll start tomorrow"
