We will be in Colorado skiing also! So, if you are in Beaver Creek and see a woman at the base on the Park Hyatt patio with a glass of wine and knitting….it is probably me!

Darn, I missed the Nyoni!! Will you get more? My favorite mug is a hand thrown one purchased at the Michigan Fiber Festival last August. It’s got two sheep and a drop spindle with red yarn on it. It makes me happy.

My thoughts & prayers are with you, Susan! This time last year I was between my 1st and 2nd b/c surgeries; once I got over the let-down at needing a second surgery, the second was actually easier emotionally and physically, and an easier recovery. I’m sending you lots of Loopy love to help you get through this!

Sheri, I hope you & your family have a wonderful trip to Colorado! I’d love to be able to get away, too… Oh, wait, I will be – in a little over 5 weeks to the Fling!

My current favorite mug is one that used to belong to my parents. They only used it for decoration, but I actually use it to drink from, and whenever I’m sipping my coffee from it, it almost feels like I’m having coffee with them. (We lost dad in January ’07, and mom last May.) The mug is handthrown pottery, one of those that’s wider at the base (harder to tip over!), narrower in the middle, and a little wider again at the top.
