Hi Sheri,

Your shawl is just georgeous. I have wanted a Girasole for a long time now. Maybe I shall just pick up some yarn while in St. Louis. I will be arriving on July 13 through July 28 and my girlfriend has already set aside time to spend at Loopy Central. I know when I walk through the doors that there will be tears in my eyes. I have wanted to go there for a long time now, but terrible health has prolonged my visit. This time there is nothing that is going to stop me. I am having surgery tomorrow but will be there in just a little over 3 weeks. I have not enough good words to say about The Loopy Ewe, everyone I have talked with have been so kind and nice. Your service is just wonderful. I know that I am going to have a great time when I get there.

Your Girasole looks gorgeous. It makes me wish I would have used “real” yarn for mine instead of acrylic. But, hey, it’s going to get used and I might just get away with not blocking it. It’s almost not worth the trouble with acrylic. I’m on day 9 and the the last 3 rows of Chart G. There is an end in sight.

Sheri, your Girasole is absolutley beautiful!!! So much so that I decided to KAL with the blanket groupies. I am using yarn in lovely light and dark rose blended alpaca blend. Even thought I am knitting curtain swagsin an Irish lace pattern for my newly remodeld kitchen and NEED to get them DONE, I just had to start this pattern. Instead of using double points, I am using two circular needles (like you would for socks) and it is working nicely. Thanks for your blogs, your great web-store and for sharing your passion for yarn and knitting with so many greatful knitters!!!

I know you don’t need another comment on this theme, but it’s spectacular! What fun to make a giant one! Wow, if I made my current Aeolian in that yarn…but luckily only circular shawls really cry out to be made huge. Thanks for sharing.

And I understand the crying when you finally see something you have a connection to. That’s exactly what I did when I finally saw the Rosetta Stone in person (and before you laugh, remember, I’m a linguist). My husband thought I was nuts.
