Sheri, you can never go wrong with any peanut butter chocolate combo and if it’s a lifetime search for the perfect recipe than I support it, I’d even go as far as being a taster for your creations. Really it’s a sacrifice I’d be willing to make……….

WOW – Love the Mara shawl – had not seen that one – you dear Sheri are a very bad influence – I looked at colonnade but I ordered Stephen’s Herbivore shawl and will probably do that at some point – however now I am off to peruse Madeline Tosh and see what you have left – I agree LL worsted is one of the nicest I’ve ever knit with – thanks for the PB/choc recipe – can’t wait to try that one! Sheri, when I get the feeling that I want a puppy, I go here:

I get a fix of cute puppy pictures, and then I can go on to think more rationally about my work/life balance and how puppy ownership would be a crazy idea. A puppy is more work than a human infant or toddler (after all, no diapers). They sure are cute, but maybe you can be a puppy’s aunt. I have a little corgi in my life now, but I’m not the owner. Best of both worlds.

I made mara out of Aracunia Ruca during the summer. That yarn is made from sugar cane and has a great sheen. The colors are summery, so I really can’t wear it right now, perhaps I’ll have to do something using wool this winter, it’s a fun quick shawl to make.

The dessert looks great too—still have to finish off a pumpkin dessert I made this weekend.

I want a dog too, but my 13 year old black cat keeps reminding me that he’s a much nicer fellow with no other critters in the house. So, I’ll have to get my dog fixes for a while yet from my nieces Golden Retriever Ernie.

I just got a new puppy a few weeks ago (see Facebook). He’s just soooooo cute. I can’t think of a good reason not to get one. There are none. Mine is a pound puppy…having had a long string of purebreds, I’m feeling really good about offering a forever home to such a great little guy!!

I’m absolutely the wrong person to tell you that getting a puppy is a bad idea! Even with all the valid comments about how much of a time commitment it would be.

Those brownies are making my mouth water—especially since no one else in the house likes peanut butter, so they would be all mine!
