I wish the blessings of the season to your and your “elves” I envy you your snow. We have had a green Christmas this year. Good for travelling, but not the same. 2010 was the year my daughter and I discovered Wollmeise and a number of the other beautiful yarns at Loopy Ewe.
I would also like to hope for a bountiful New Year for 2011to all of you.

Selfish knitting! … I wish I was knitting on something that had no deadline /no worries about whether it would meet the fashion sensibilities of teenagers/young adults/ that I was sure (SURE) that I had just the right amount of yarn – not too much, not too little.

I forgot to tell you that I love those glove blockers. My darling daughter has absolutely giant hands so she can only wear hand-knit ultra-modified gloves (I have to add an inch to each normal finger). I wonder if I could commission some crafty wood or metal worker to make her some glove blockers so her gloves will keep their shape after washing. I invite suggestions.

I wasn’t even thinking about selfish knitting as much as finishing all of the sweaters I have on the needles before starting a new one. I think I have at least 3 sweaters on the needles and yarn for at least 3 more!

I’m ready for Selfish Knitting Month too! I’ve signed up for NaKniMitMo and knitting a pair of mittens allllll formyself, that is if my hands and wrists aren’t too sore from all the gift knitting I’ve been doing (one more left still to finish!)
