Lisa – yes, please send them to us and we’ll make sure it gets over to Hope Lives. Mary Beth – we’re thinking the end of December, but we’ll take them at any time (even after that), as I know Hope Lives can use them any time.

Yay! My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor, so this makes me especially happy to see. I’ll post about it on my blog and on Examiner to help get the word out!

One of my quilting friends started a program several years ago called ‘hats for the homeless’ (also will accept scarves & mittens) . Last year they collected over 900 hats (wonder how many they’ll get this year). On Christmas Eve, they start going to the homeless shelters and handing them out.

Very good idea. There are lots of places who can benefit from handmade goods. I will be happy to participate. Sheri, do we send our items to you?

Maybe if Sheri does get enough items, she can divvy up between places!

Does it have to be pink? Or just anything? I have a ton of shawls and maybe other things that I’ve knit and just packed away, never worn. I’d love to send them where they’d be used!

Hi Loopy Friends–I live here in Connecticut. This is also DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH…….I am a domestic violence survivor. Wow, feels good to share this will all of you. No longer hiding. Anyway, while we are all knitting for a cause, could I ask a personal favor and knit/crochet one extra item for Sheri’s basket for this cause and maybe Sheri could forward them to an organization out there.
