My favorite part of Thanksgiving are the leftovers! Turkey and stuffing and gravy sandwiches are the best and greatest! I insist on hosting every few years so we can keep the lion’s share of the leftovers (also, then we can get an extra big turkey and make waaaaay too much food so there are lots of leftovers to be had)!!

A tradition at our house is the Scottish baps, a raised yeast roll, that I make every year for Thanksgiving … usually they’re so filling, you only eat one at the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but the next day they’re wonderful sliced in half and turned into what we call “Turkey Baps”. That’s where most of our leftover turkey seems to get used up … and if I run out of baps, I just make up more!

I love making turkey reubens with the leftovers! Saw Emeril Lagasse demonstrate on TV how to make them one Black Friday and have been hooked ever since!

Love that ruffled cowl! You are so right – the best part of Thanksgiving dinner is the leftover turkey – best for cold sandwiches but also awesome for hot turkey sandwichs!
