Robin – cowl plus mitts out of 1 Merino and 2 Plumes. Thanks for pointing that out! I think you would need 2 Merino for Hat plus mitts. I used all but about 2 yards of the Merino for what I did, and I am pretty sure the hat would be more than the knitting done on the cowl. But since I didn’t make the hat, I can’t tell you for certain. Just my guess.

Question re this – “You can make a hat plus mitts with 2 skeins of Plume (the fluffy stuff) and one skein of Merino 12. If you want to also make the hat that comes in the pattern, you’ll want to add in another skein of each.”

Does this mean that 1 skein of Merino 12 makes a hat and mitts, and adding a second skein would make a second hat? Or did you mean to state that 1 skein of Merino 12 made the mitts and COWL shown, and the second skein would be needed to make a hat?

Is 1 skein of the Merino 12 enough for a hat and mitts (no cowl) or would a second skein be needed anyways for a full-sized hat?
