We have an outside kitty. We found her half dead when she was about two months old. We figured after all the expense, we may as well keep her. She is a total love bug, most of the time. Shes about six? Months old? Now, and soon we need to get her fixed, but i have been dragging my feet beacuse her fur just finally finished growing back in.
If you get too worried about the cold you can probably find a small dog house at a yard sale, and put blankets in it to provide some shelter from the cold, that way you at least know they have somewhere to go.

I will be doing a start-over on my 4th quarter project. I just couldn’t get into the pattern I had originally selected, so I’ve decided to just frog and start something new with the lovely yarn. It’s now going to be a Lacy Wingspan.

I have an 18 yr. old female who does the same thing as Gracie. When a neighbor cat comes up to the sliding door, Charlie huffs, snorts and growls until I’m sure she’s going to have a heart attack. Cats sure can be territorial, can’t they! (The apple dessert looks yummy – hope to try it soon, but will see if another citrus-based soda will work as well).

I’ve given up on finding the “right” buttons for a buttoned cowl I made, and now I’m making knit coverings for some shanked buttons I had in the button box. At least they’ll match!
We have a slough of feral kitties around our house, all of which take turns staking out the birdfeeder and occupying the roof of the shed. Our two kitties only rarely bother to growl or hiss at the ferals, unless they come up on the porch. I’d love to get rid of the ferals, but that means trapping them and closing off the crawlspace (where they hang out!). I bought the trap, just can’t bring myself to use it — too softhearted!

Aren’t pets fun?

I’ll be knitting on a pair of mitts or two, and probably finishing off a crocheted baby blanket. If there’s time after that, I may work on another project, too. Of course, all this between cleaning and sorting and laundry and rehearsals and a concert. Whee!
