I found myself knitting quite a bit over the weekend and into the beginning of this week too. Television was awful with continuous coverage. I just could not watch and rewatch as all the stations were trying to get something new on the air. It is very, very sad for the families, the town, the country.

Thank you Sheri and the elves for the work you do to bring beautiful yarns and ideas into our lives. Our world needs beauty.

I still haven’t finished the last item I’m making for Christmas, a sewn stuffed animal. I am trying not to think about how much time I have before things absolutely must be mailed.

Thank you to all the elves too, their are beyond kind and patient with me year round and I am very grateful. I hope they all have a Great Holliday Season!!!
I think that is going to be a sad Christmas for all of us here. We will remember the families that are going to be coping with the absence of their love ones around the tree. I keep thinking how are they going to do that. I hope they know that we are all sharing their horrible pain.

Thank you so much for your words of comfort. Like so many other Americans, my heart has ached all this weekend for the people in CT. Then I had to rush my husband to the hospital today for what has turned out to be heart failure. The only thing that has held me together today is the yarn and needles that I carry with me – though joy and sorrow.

I agree with everyone above! . Knitting does help in good times and not so good. I have a skein of Prairie but haven’t used it yet. I just love to feel all of my yarn. . I think I am going to try some Stonehedge. I really like the pewter color. A LOT! I have also made a “Turn A Square” hat by Jared Flood and it is phenomenal! I hate to sound like I am bragging about it because it wasn’t my great knitting but the wonderful pattern! Thanks for all of the other suggestions of patterns! I love looking them up on Ravelry!
