Loopy Drawings
If you have ordered from us in the past year and a half, you know we like to put little drawings on your order sheets. (Loopy is busy. We figure you like to know some of the things he gets himself into around here.) In all the times that we’ve been sending drawings out, no one has ever sent us a drawing back, until this week.
Judy in TX has a great blog, which I have enjoyed reading for quite awhile now. She writes in a way that makes you feel like you know her – and her husband Vince as well. (Besides being a knitter, she’s also an awesome quilter and quilt book author.) After I added a hello to Vince on one of Judy’s order forms, she emailed to say he was sending me a drawing. And his drawing cracked me up! (Hee – husbands. I think they sometimes forget how much money they spend on their own hobbies, don’t they? I’m betting that Judy could come up with a similar drawing relating to Vince’s hobbies.) The only problem I have with it is that he looks unhappy about being Loopy Ewed, and I tend to think it’s a very positive thing.
So thanks for the great drawing, Vince. I hope Judy keeps you “Loopy Ewed” for a long time to come!

Love Judy’s blog! Poor Vince (with tongue in cheek)! I’m just wondering why he sent you a drawing of my husband (hee hee)!

It was Judy’s blog that pointed me to you in the first place. She made the first Camp Loopy sound so great that I signed up on the spot. I haven’t looked back since!

My husband is a golfer. He’s on his third or fourth set of clubs. We have taken vacations to some very “nice” golf resorts. He never minds what I spend on yarn. When I went to the market place at the last sock summit I told him I would be back when I maxed out the credit cards. He smiled & said “Have fun”.

Such a good picture! and so true about hobbies! Between boats, fishing, hunting, flying, motorcycling, etc. I cannot even come to those expenses. Of course I got to eat the fish, deer, turkey, ride in the boats and planes and bike and it was fun.

Vince’s latest hobby seems to be watching to see if the mail lady delivers a “Box of Fun” so he can give me a hard time. He really has fun with all my yarn buying experiences. He hasn’t exactly said that but I can tell by the frown on his face each time a box arrives!

What a great artist. He conveys his joy with so few lines.

Vince’s drawing makes me think he is the iconic husband – sweet and slightly poor (at least in money – I’m pretty sure his life is richer for having Judy in it:).

Such a fun picture. Now we know one more thing about Vince. He’s an artist. I came over from Judy L’s Blog too. I’m trying to avoid being Loopy Ewed. But after seeing your cute drawings of Lambs and having the name of MARY, I need to order just to get a drawing. I am re-learning how to knit.

Who knew Vince was also an artist?
That is an amazing drawing – and SO funny, too!
I’m also a Patchwork Times reader. I’d be so sad without it!

Hmmmmmm….my husband’s hobbies are very much forgotten around here. He does seem to mention mine quite a bit while ignoring the fact that he just bought a few new shoes for his running and tennis. He is also a computer “nerd”, so we don’t just have one computer in the house (we don’t have just two, or three, or four, or…). Electronics are PRICEY!
Love the drawing. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I get my next order in and send a thank you back.

My husband buys video games. His game purchases aren’t necessarily as frequent as my yarn purchases, but I have a useful (normally) object or gift or item of clothing afterwards. So, he mostly complains that I should finish something before starting something new.

That’s awesome! My husband keeps saying that he’s going to block the Loopy Ewe website so I can’t order anymore.

I’m a regular reader of Judy’s blog and know that her husband has his own ‘hobbies’ that he spends on.
