Lush The Loopy Ewe

We have lots of pretty things up on the website in tonight’s Update! Just in:

Skein – Merino Silk Sport. This is a new yarn base for us, and wow, it’s nice. 50% Merino Wool and 50% Silk, with 363 yards in this sport weight skein. Especially beautiful for shawls, cowls and scarves, as it will knit up with a beautiful drape. (Shown here in Lush.)

Three Irish Girls – Glenhaven Cashmerino Worsted. This worsted weight yarn is 80% Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon. It’s wonderful to work with. I made my Winter’s Rhythm Capelet with this yarn, and then used it again on my mittens for Camp awhile back. (Change of subject, but oh my word – I need to make the truffles on that blog post again. They are amazing.)

Beijing The Loopy EweThree Irish Girls – McClellan Fingering. A new yarn base for us, this fingering weight yarn is 60% Merino Wool, 30% Bamboo, and 10% Nylon. Awesome for socks (especially for people who get a little too hot in 80-100% wool socks), and also really pretty for shawls and sweaters. (Shown here in Beijing.)

Swan’s Island – Lace. This lace is 50% Merino Wool and 50% Tussah Silk. Very soft and beautiful, with 550 yards in the skein. It continues to be really popular for shawls and some of those fun laceweight sweaters. Like the Featherweight CardiganWhisper CardiganVersio (love the stripes), Lush and Lacey Trapeze, or Willow Lace Sweater.

Fig The Loopy EweSwan’s Island – Fingering. What I love about this yarn (besides how soft it is), is the generous yardage in each skein. You get 525 yards in each skein, which makes it nice for shawls that need more than one typical skein of fingering weight yarn.

Stitchsavers – a new batch of those handy little crochet hooks that help you catch runaway stitches and tink down and back up. Keep one in each of your knitting gadget bags.

The Loopy Ewe Totes – speaking of gadget bags, we have a new batch of the clear Accessories Pal (perfect for a Stitchsaver, a pair of scissors, some stitchmarkers, a tape measure, etc), Project Keepers (perfect for yarn plus pattern), and Small Black Project Totes (perfect for your one or two skein projects).

DPN Needle Tubes – these clear tubes are 8″ long and 3/4″ wide, perfect for storing your double point needles (up to several sets, depending on the size). We love them for organizing and keeping DPN’s safe and unbroken. (Not that I’ve stepped on a DPN or two in my time and broken them or anything ….)

Cinnamon Kane The Loopy EweSoak Wash – the Cinnamon Kane Soakbox kit is in! This limited edition Soakbox includes a bottle of Soak (in the Lacey scent), Heel Foot Cream (in the Spearmint scent), a skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in the Cinnamon Kane colorway, Essie Nail Polish in the Lady Godiva color, and a pattern for a pair of beautifully cabled Cinnamon Kane Socks by Fiona Ellis.

Lorna’s Laces – Haymarket in the Island Blue colorway that was featured in that gorgeous sweater on the cover of the most recent issue of Vogue Knitting. (Isn’t that an incredible sweater? If I were good at finishing sweaters, that would be on my needles in a second. But first, I’m going to try to knit a sweater with our Anniversary Yarn from Malabrigo. If I finish that, maybe I’ll have a try at the Vogue Sweater. And I love the color of that Island Blue, too!)
