December 16, 2013
It’s the middle of December and Christmas is next week already. Yikes! This year has flown by. This will be our last regular Monday Update for the year. Next week, all of us here at The Loopy Ewe are off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the Christmas holiday, so we didn’t want to do an update on Monday and then not ship until Friday. The week after, we run into New Years pretty quickly. So this is our last regular Monday Update until January. We do hope to have more Wollmeise up between now and the end of the year, though, so stay tuned for that!
Loopy Legends - more re-stocks of sold-out colorways, as well as three more new ones! We love celebrating our Cashmere level Loopy Legends with their own colorway. We still have more in the works, which will come out in January. And more people who will make Cashmere Club before the end of the year, so we’ll get those done as well, of course. (Shown here in Debra’s Celtic Treasures.)
Lorna’s Laces – Shepherd Sock. This fingering weight yarn is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon. Great for socks, but it also works up beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats and mitts.
Juliespins – MCN 430. A fingering weight yarn that is 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere and 10% Nylon in Julie’s amazing colors. I went through my stash last week. I have more Juliespins yarn than almost anything, because I love it so! And Julie seldom re-does colors, so if you see something you like now, get it! That’s certainly how I ended up with so many wonderful skeins. (Shown here in Gooseberry Parfait.)
Universal Yarns – Cotton Supreme. This worsted weight yarn is soft and wonderful to work with. It’s my favorite cotton! It’s machine wash and dry, and it does not shrink or pill. (Even when you want it to shrink, because someone didn’t do an accurate gauge swatch and the sweater ended up too big. Ask me how I know.)
Universal Yarns – Cotton Supreme Splash & Batik. These bring fun variations to the regular Cotton Supreme line. The Batik features mixed colors that knit up stripey (great for clothes) and the Splash line is like a semi-solid with a bit of pizazz. (Shown here in Colonial.)
Universal Yarns – Bamboo Pop. This sport weight yarn is 50% Bamboo and 50% cotton. Perfect for lighter weight garments, baby items, and things for people who might be allergic to wool. You’ll love the colors (solids and mixes) available.
Moda Charm Packs, Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls in their Little Black Dress 2 and Wishes lines. We also have Jelly Rolls in Front Porch, and Layer Cakes in Table for Two. The pre-packs usually come in before the full bolts are available, so you get a sneak peek of what’s coming here!
Moda – Kansas City Troubles (dark, rich fabrics in blues, marroons, deep greens, tans, and chocolates, shown here on the left) and Table for Two (Valentine fabrics in reds, pinks, roses, and blacks, shown here on the right).
FreeSpirit – Vagabond (brown, dark teals, and greens in stripes, checks and assorted patterns. This is a great line for more masculine looking quilts and projects. A sampling shown here, left.)
Adornit – Sunshine and Shadows (in yellows and shades of gray, a sampling shown above, middle) and Juicy Fruit (in reds, teals, limes and yellows. A sampling shown above, right.)
You know when we say “a sampling shown”, it means there are lots of other bolts in different colors/patterns available, right? You just need to pop right over and see!
Remember, we’ll start the Loopy Rewards program back at zero points on January 1st. (You’ll get Loopy credit for the points you have accumulated towards your next $250 bonus level, just like we did last year. Once a Loopy credit is in your account, it never expires.) For 2014, we’ll have new category names, new rewards, and plenty more fun in store for you!
Did you get our monthly newsletter last week? We’re excited that we have The Verdant Gryphon, Blue Moon’s Socks that Rock, and the new Loopy Celebrations Line coming for you in the first quarter of 2014. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, check out our last update for 2013 and we’ll look forward to pulling your orders and getting them shipped out asap!
