New to Sock Knitting?

You’ve heard people talking about socks and you’re ready to see what the big deal is, right? Well, get ready for a new knitting addiction!  I’ve had people email and ask if I could suggest some good yarns to start with.  If you have done a lot of knitting with smaller sized needles (0-1 US) – pick anything.  It’s all good! If, however, you are more used to larger needles (DPN’s or circulars), then I suggest you start with a Sport Weight or larger, yarn and size 3 – 5 needles.  Here are some great yarns in stock at The Loopy Ewe that would work well:
