Miriam wanted to make something that even beginning knitters could do, but something with some sort of lace. So she did a simple eyelet pattern that evokes winding streams and river deltas. The back (not pictured) is just as beautiful as the front, making this scarf truly reversible.

A fingering weight yarn could be used for this scarf. It could also be knit with scraps of other yarns that you happen to have on hand. or with lengths of handspun. The nature of the scarf means that it would be easy to remove repeats and/or knit it at a different gauge.

Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) 32" circular.

Gauge: 5 spi after blocking.
