Learn how to do two-handed fair-isle while creating your own hat and selecting your own colors and stitch patterns. This class is intended for first time fair-isle knitters or people who are fairly new to fair-isle. Class will include instruction on Latvian Braids, different color work stitch patterns, catching long floats and short floats, etc. There will be plenty of options and you’ll have lots of fun while creating your own hat to show off your personal style!

Materials: 100 yards of worsted-weight wool for the main color of your hat and at least 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn (50 yards each). U.S. 7 needles in a 16†circular and 4 DPN’s (or size needed to obtain gauge of 5 st/inch), tape measure, pencil.

Homework: We are making a hat to fit a 20-22 inch head. Cast on 96 stitches in your main color yarn and work in the round with a K2 P2 rib for about 1 inch.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, you may do so up to one week prior to the class for a full refund. No refunds will be issued for missed classes.
