Harbin Cowl Pattern in The Fibre Company from The Fibre Company
Designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn, Harbin is knit using Tundra in glacier and taiga. This lovely cowl features a seed stitch body and attached i-cord edge in a contrasting tone for a pop of color and beautiful texture.
Yarn: The Fibre Company Tundra (60% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool, 10% silk; 120 yds/100gm skein), 1 skein each of 2 different colors (shown in Glacier and Taiga)
Size: 22" circumference, 10.25" high.
Needles: 1 - pair US 10.5 (6.5 mm) straight needles 1 set US 9 (5.5 mm) dpns
Gauge: 10 sts and 18 rows = 4" in seed stitch on larger needles
Notions: Darning needles, smooth waste yarn of comparable gauge.
Necessary Skills: Knitting, purling, i-cord edge, provisional cast-on (optional).
