This is such a work of art. Custom made and finished by Phil of Custom Wood Designs, and wonderful for Kitchenering toes, sewing together seams, rounding out edges, and displaying on a shelf or in a bowl. We will have different kinds of wood darning eggs as they become available. This wood comes from the Purpleheart Tree and is polished to show the natural grain and movement in the wood. The purple color will continue to deepen with age. Each egg is the same shape and color, but the intricacies differ within the grain.
