Whitfield Sweater Jacket from Knitspot
A mans field jacket or vest in six sizes S(M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X), to knit in an allover tweedy textured stitch, with set-in sleeves (vest has ribbed armhole trim),chest pockets, side hem slits, and shirt collar. All pieces are knit flat, bottom up, and seamed.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in a variation in size.
Suggested Yarns: any bulky yarn that knits to pattern gauge.
Finished Size: 44.5(49, 53, 57.5, 61.5, 66) inches/113(124.5, 134.5, 146, 156, 167.5) cm in circumference at chest (buttoned) to fit with 6-7 inches of ease

Gauge: 15 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette (unblocked) on larger needle; 15 sts and 26 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in Tweed Rib (washed and blocked) on larger needle
Needles: size 8US (5 mm) for body or size to obtain correct gauge size 7US (4.5 mm) for cuffs, hems, and trims (or one size smaller than body needle)
