Elise Mitten in Born to Knit from Born to Knit
Designed by Johanne Landin, knit up these amazing mittens with your favorite fingering weight yarn. The scroll-work design is on the back of the hand, the wrist and even the thumb! Choose high-contrast (light-dark) colors for maximum impact and to show off the design, or select less contrast for a more subtle mitten.
Yarn needed: Fingering weight yarn, one skein of background pattern (approx. 50 gram/185 yards) and one skein for the pattern (also 50 gram/185 yards).
Needles: A set of 5 DPN's size US 101.5 (2-2.5mm) or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 10 st and 11 rows to 1" (Adjust your needle size to get the correct gauge, and to make changes in mitten size.)
Size: 7.5" around and 8" from the start of the pattern chart to the top.
