This pattern is a quick-to-knit set, sized from girls from 2 to teen. Galloni is the Italian word for chevron, which both the hat and mittens are edged with. Suitable for advanced-beginners have previously used DPNs.

Materials: Mittens: 80 (100, 120, 140) yds worsted weight Hat: 110 (120, 140, 170) yds worsted weight

Needles: 1 set US 5 (3.75mm) DPN's (or size to obtain gauge)

Gauge: 6 sts = 1" in stockinette stitch

Sizes: Mittens: Child's size S (M, L, XL) = 5.5 (6.5, 7, 8.25)" in circumference. Hat: Child's size S (M, L, XL) = 15 (16.5, 18, 19.5)" in circumference.
