Designed by Johanne Landin, these mittens have great patterning on the back, thumb and cuff. The cuffs are nice and long to keep you extra warm, but if you prefer a shorter cuff you can skip knitting the ribbing.

These knit up on size a set of 5 DPNs, size US 0-1.5 (2-2.5mm).

Yarn needed: one 50 gram skein for the background color (try Louet Fingering or Alchemy solids) plus one 50 gram skein for the pattern.

Gauge: 9 st and 11 rows to 1" (Adjust your needle size to get the correct gauge, and to make changes in mitten size.)

Size: 7.5" around and 8" from the start of the pattern chart to the top. Switch to bigger needles if you want larger mittens.
