This project was based on the Malt pattern by tincanknits, but I adjusted the stitch and row counts - the yarn is slightly lighter than most worsted-weight yarns, and I was happy with the fabric I was getting at a slightly tighter gauge than the pattern was written for.

Because the original pattern calls for only 750 yards of yarn, I worked by weight - I weighted the amount of yarn used for the initial garter stitch section and knit the final stockinette section until I had just enough yarn left over for the final garter stitch section and the bind-off. 378 g of yarn went into the finished object, equaling approximately 832 yards.
