French Toast Bake from Sheri

1 stick butter 5 eggs 1 c. brown sugar 1 ½ c. milk 2 T. dark corn syrup 2 t. vanilla 1 loaf of French bread, cut into slices pinch of nutmeg

Cook butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup until sugar is dissolved; pour into a 13â€x 9†pan. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, vanilla and nutmeg; pour over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Optional: top individual servings with berries (blackberries are really good).
