Reduce the chance of having tangled yarn while you knit by using one of these wooden yarn caddies! Place one or more yarn balls on the center support and the caddy will effortlessly turn while you knit. Great for single skein projects, two-at-a-time projects, and colorwork projects.
These beautiful solid wood yarn caddies are individually handcrafted by George Sichterman in Casper, Wyoming. And every caddy is unique due to the wood that is used in each one. Internal ball bearings ensure that the stand turns smoothly and seamlessly. And because each one is stained and waxed by hand five times, you get the smoothest surface possible. Four rubber protectors on the bottom base help protect whatever surface you place these on.
Since no two trees are exactly alike, each wooden caddy has its own unique characteristic and natural expression. Therefore, the caddy you receive may vary from the photo and may have swirls, small knots, grains and color variations, which are all natural characteristics of the wood. These enhance the natural beauty of the wood and are not considered quality defects.
The round bottom base is 7 inches (17.78 cm) in diameter.
The stand that holds the yarn ball is 6 inches (15.24 cm) in diameter.
The round center support is approximately 0.6875 inches (1.75 cm) in diameter, approximately 9 inches (22.86 cm) tall, and is tapered at the top to a nice sharp point to help slide the yarn balls on easily.
Approximate weight is around 1.5 pounds (0.68 kg) (varies slightly based on wood used)
