Please note that Crochet club is not a beginner's class - it is meant to help you build on your existing skills and expose you to new patterns and techniques.

Crocheters! Join us each month on a Saturday from 12:30 - 2:30 pm to learn about the
world of crochet - see individual months for actual Saturday dates and weekly topics.

Whether you're a beginner looking to learn new stitches or an experienced crocheter
seeking inspiration, the Crochet Club is the perfect place to nurture your creativity. Each
month, Kim will guide you through a variety of topics, from basic techniques to
advanced patterns, ensuring there's something for everyone. Bring your enthusiasm,
your favorite yarn and hooks, and get ready to connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts
in a supportive and fun environment. Don't miss out on the chance to enhance your
skills, make new friends, and create beautiful projects!

The Crochet Club weekly topic will be followed by project help from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm. 
Your $20 fee includes any patterns, hand-outs, and free help/assistance during the
project help period (or just hang out and crochet with Kim).

Tentative Schdule:

July 26, 12:30 - 2:30: Crochet Beaded Bracelets
IIn this month's crochet club, we will be creating beaded crochet bracelets, combining different types of yarns, threads, and beads to craft unique and modern designs. We will also learn techniques to incorporate beads into other types of crochet patterns.
Supply List:
  • Various types of yarn and thread used for beaded bracelets: Embroidery floss or wool; cotton crochet thread; fingering weight yarn in all fibres (wool, silk, cotton, etc.); raffia, hemp, flax, linen, or other natural fiber yarns in fingering, sport, or DK weights
  • Crochet hooks to match your yarn weights: 1.5 mm for very fine yarn; 2.25 (B), 2.75 mm (C), 3.25 mm (D) for floss and fingering weights; 3.5 mm (E) or 3.75 mm (F) hooks for raffia & natural fibers
  • Beads: Beads to match your yarn weights in both diameter size and hole size- seed beads for floss and thread; 1mm, 2mm, or 3mm crystal, ceramic, or wooden beads for thicker yarn.
  • Bead needle or dental floss threader to string beads onto yarn
  • Shank style buttons or metal jewelry clasps to connect
  • Scissors; darning needle

August 16, 12:30 - 2:30: Crocheted Wind Spinner.During our August crochet club, our pattern will be Crocheted Wind Spinners. This pattern is suitable for beginners 8+ who have basic crochet skills.

Supplies needed for these items are:

  • DK or Worsted weight yarn in various bright colors, approximately 80-200 yards total (DK and worsted weight yarn available at The Loopy Ewe)
  • Beads, chandelier glass, etc. for bottom weight
  • Hook sizes 3.5 mm (E), 3.75 mm (F), &/or 4.00 mm (G) hooks
  • Scissors, markers, darning needle
  • Kits (with yarn & beads) may be available for purchase at The Loopy Ewe
September 20, 12:30 - 2:30 pm: Crocheted Pumpkins and Gnome Part 1
September & October crochet club, will focus on the Fall Gnome & Two  Pumpkins by Firefly Crochet. During our September club, we will be going over how to crochet the two cute pumpkins. During our October club, we will be going over how to Crochet the accompanying Fall Gnome. This pattern is suitable for beginners 13+. 

Supplies needed for these items are:

  • Worsted weight yarn in various autumn colors (i.e., white, rust, brown, orange, beige, gold), approximately 180-200 yards total (worsted weight yarn available at The Loopy Ewe)
  • Hook sizes 3.5 mm (E), & 5.0 mm (H)
  • Scissors, markers, darning needle

October 25, 12:30 - 2:30 pm: Crocheted Pumpkins and Gnome Part 2

November 22, 12:30 - 2:30 pm. Crocheted Holiday Tree Lights Garland
During our November crochet club, our pattern will be Crocheted Holiday Tree Lights Garland. This pattern is suitable for beginners 13+.
Supplies needed for these items are:
  • DK or Worsted weight yarn in various bright colors (i.e., red, green, blue, yellow, black), approximately 180-200 yards total (DK & worsted weight yarn available at The Loopy Ewe)
  • Hook sizes 3.5 mm (E), 3.75 mm (F), &/or 4.00 mm (G) hooks
  • Scissors, markers, darning needle
  • Kits may be available for purchase at The Loopy Ewe

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, you may do so up to one week prior to the class for a Loopy Credit. No refunds will be issued for missed classes.
