Crochet Amigurumi –Lenny the Cat or Madeline the Dog (Adults-13+ Experienced Beginner Crocheters): Saturdays, July 11 & 25, 10am-12pm
This advanced beginner/intermediate crochet class will focus on creating an adorable amigurumi cat or dog complete with fashionable accessories. Students will expand their skills by learning to work in a continuous spiral with increases and decreases, and assembly methods specific to amigurumi projects. The class is ideal for those comfortable with basic stitches and looking to advance their craft with more complex techniques and finishing touches.
*Basic crochet skills required (chain, single crochet, slip stitch, working in the
round)
Supply List:
- DK or Fingering Weight cotton or wool yarn (approximately 125 yards of 3-4 main colors
for body and clothing, approximately 50 yards of white, light, pink, and black) - DK or Fingering Weight wool yarns available at The Loopy Ewe
- Size B (2.25mm) or C (2.75mm) crochet hook based on yarn weight
- Fiberfill
- 7.5 mm Safety Eyes
- Black embroidery floss
- Notions: darning needle; scissors; open end crochet markers; measuring tape; pencil
- Pattern for Lenny the Cat or Madeline the Dog provided at or before the class
